Leiden, Netherlands – March, 2026 – Ingka Centres announces that Kumiko Koyama has taken on the role of Chief Financial Officer, effective February 2026. Her appointment strengthens the company’s leadership team and supports its long term ambition to grow responsibly while continuing to develop community focused meeting places.
Kumiko brings more than twenty years of international financial leadership experience from sectors such as retail, healthcare and technology. Her career includes senior roles in global companies including GlaxoSmithKline, Nokia, Sony and DENSO Corporation. She is recognised for her ability to connect financial performance with business direction and for guiding organisations through change in fast‑moving environments.
Most recently, she was the CFO of IKEA Japan, where she played an important role in strengthening the business and supporting key initiatives across the company.
As CFO, Kumiko will play a key role in shaping Ingka Centres’ financial direction and guiding investment planning across its 14 markets. She will work closely with the management team to develop resilient, forward‑looking business models for the company’s mixed‑use destinations, combining retail, services, co‑working and community activities.
