Like the previous year, we decided to stand out on Black Friday and Double 11 again and run the Love your stuff for a longer campaign. Our aim is to share a different approach to the traditional perception of this period. Inspire people for more conscious consumption.
We are challenging ourselves to make sustainable living simpler, more accessible and more affordable for as many people as possible. This campaign is a part of our ambition to bring value to people, communities and the planet. Globally we are running a range of initiatives and environmental awareness campaigns across our Meeting Places that show easy and affordable ways to help people live more sustainably.
“Love your stuff for longer” is designed to offer an alternative approach to Black Friday and Double 11 sales. It offers consumers a philosophy for sustainable shopping, more information on how to live a more sustainable life, and practical opportunities to apply the change in their own life.
More and more people are discovering the joy of sustainable consumption: repairing, reusing or repurposing. We wanted to be at the forefront of that movement, encouraging people to buy only what they love and to make it last. This is our invitation to join the sustainable movement, to focus on what you already have, and only buy what you need.
In 2021, we will be running circular modules in meeting places that will offer new ways to shop more sustainably and to adopt more circular practices. Our meeting places will offer different circular initiatives to join, like clothes and electronics repair and upgrade, circular events, workshops, zero-waste grocery, Circular furniture & homeware etc.
